41st Week ReCap

Its December!!!!

Family and Friends Happy days and happy weeks I love you all. What a special time of the year it is becoming! Fun of all the good things that truly light the world! Well this week was awesome and one of the best! I feel great and I’m so happy to be where I am during this time of the year, here serving others. Well let’s jump into it.

So really quick something I forgot to mention last week... I taught the primary class here in our ward!!! Well I taught it with Elder Bradley, but it was awesome the kids are just like the kids back home and maybe a little crazier haha.

It was super amazing though, kids are so special they are the perfect example to us all they truly are. We taught them about missionary work and they knew so much. I can say that they know so much more then I did when I was that age and they are so special. Well that’s all I forgot about that week and I don’t know how I did because it was like the best part!

Ok on to this last week. So, this week was amazing, I can truly testify that obedience and following the lord’s directions is the path for success. I don’t think I have ever seen so many miracles in a short amount of time in my life or here on my mission in seeing the Lords hand every single day.
Let me tell you he leads us every second of the day if we let him and this work is truly his and he helps us so much.  I know that without him and my Father in Heaven I would be nothing and I wouldn’t be able to do any of this work here.

I saw him lead us to many people this week who needed us. One of the coolest being that as we were coming home from the metro on the bus I had an impression to get off the bus a couple stops earlier than normal. So, I told Elder Bradley and he was ok with it so we did. So, we ended up being in a part of our area we have never been in, Elder Bradley asks where I want to go so I start to think. Then bam I have a thought that pops in my head to cross this busy street and go down this random road, so we do it.

So, we are walking down this road and he asks me again where I wanted to go now, and I wasn’t sure at first but as we started walking down the road we past this old man working with card board boxes.
So right when I see him something goes off in my head him, its him, help him and talk to him, so we do.
As we talked to this man he opened up and he tells us that this last Sunday not even a week ago his wife had passed away. I felt the spirt so strong as he told us that and I was kind of shocked that the first person we contacted and the exact person we were led to had that happen to him.
We were able to talk to him about the plan of salvation and how he has the Savior with him here during this tough time. As we talked to him he was almost in tears and it was such an amazing experience that I knew without a doubt after I was led by the Lord’s hand to talk to him.
I know that we are all in the spots where we are at right now for a reason. There is someone who needs us, we just have to listen and follow where the Holy Ghost tells us to go.

Oh, and this week I also got to go to a wedding of my converts woooooo! Ok so really quick there is a long story to this one, but it is very good and I’m super happy they are married now. They weren’t living together when we baptized them and just about 2 weeks ago they moved in with one another, when we heard we worked fast and got a wedding planned out and made it happen. They are converts from my last area but as I am still here in the same zone we got permission and then went.

It was a ton of fun and a wonderful experience here in Mexico haha. I will never forget this one either for it was the first wedding I have been to here and it was awesome. There was a good turn out from the ward.  Oh, ya it was a double wedding with our zone leaders having some investigators getting married too, so they can get baptized this month haha. I guess you can say as missionaries we make all things happen and do all types of work haha.

Well besides the spiritual highs and the wonderful wedding, this week was super-fast and crazy. Everyday seems to go by faster and faster and the weeks feel truly like days.

Today we had our Zone activity and it was awesome. We have 2 professional Chefs in our zone so for our zone activities they cook for us and it was super good. I usually try to help them also, so I can learn a few things for when I get back to the states, so I can still eat my good Mexican food haha.

We have interview with President McArthur tomorrow so of course that will be amazing and then this is week 6 of the change so that means it’s time for changes again. We will get the change phone call on Sunday night. So next Monday I will know if I’m staying or going and who my companion will be if I change at all.

Life is amazing. Life is a blessing also and every day is a new experience and a new opportunity to follow the Lords path.
Don’t forget the same simple things though that will truly build our foundation of success.

I love you all and hope you have an awesome week. Also to all who sent me packages you guys are all amazing and I love you so so much.
Thanks for all your examples you are a light in this world to all.

Serve others and love the work!

40th Week ReCap

That was a quick one
Well hi everyone!!! This week has been super fast and legit I emailed you all like 5 days ago so I don’t know if I have much. So, let me see...
So, Um Thursday ahh ya I remember Thursday we went back to the offices for Elder Bradley’s green card! So that was super exciting, but it actually ended up not being the right time or something happened because his card wasn’t done or something I’m not really sure, so we ended up going to the offices for kinda no reason. But the best thing that came out of that trip is that there was a computer guy there fixing some computers and he saved my SD card for my camera wooooo!!! So, my SD card had gotten infected or something from one of the computers here that we use so it wouldn’t hook up to the computers and it wouldn’t read or anything. So, we asked the computer guy to look at it and he threw down some coding stuff on it and bam now it works and now my mom will be happy that I can send her photos hahaha. (YES, I’M VERY HAPPY THAT HE WAS ABLE TO FIX IT) Then we got home from the offices and had a normal day.

Then oh I guess it was Thanksgiving that day also hahaha. We didn’t really do anything for Thanksgiving to celebrate because Elder Bradley and I are on a diet thing to try and lose some weight. We did make the turkey craft project things though that my Mom sent!!! They were awesome and I was kinda confused how it went and I think I put it together right but if I didn’t opps I don’t really see many turkeys here I don’t think I have seen one here so that’s why it might not be right haha.

Then Friday we had Divisions. They went super good and I had a great time. I went to Fillipy Carrio again the area of our District Leader with his companion and it was fun. We did a lot of contacting and it was really good and ended up fantastic. We found some new people who want to learn about the gospel then we ended the divisions Saturday morning. We then had a normal day full of work Saturday which was really good to have.

Ohhh and in exercise time on Saturday I ended up running a 3-mile hahaha. I have never been able to legit run a 2 mile straight up before I’m pretty sure but hey the mission changes you and now I can run farther haha. Then Sunday was awesome. We finally had someone get up for church. It has been about 5 months also since the missionaries have brought someone to church in this ward, so everyone was pretty excited.

We are also going to baptize him this coming Sunday. His name is Jose angel and he is 14 and he is awesome. He is probably my first investigator to ever stay the full three hours of church also the first time he went. We are super happy and excited for him and it has been a lot of work to finally get this area moving in the right direction. That was pretty much all that happened though this week.

Oh, today though we did have our district activity. It was super fun and we got to go to a famous place here in Monterrey called Parque Fundidora. Its super sweet and is huge. It’s just this big park thing with a ton of things to do and to see. It was a ton of fun though and a wonderful way to start off the week.

This week I hope you guys have a blast and have success in all that you do. As you do hard things and focus in on the good things blessings do come.

I love my Savior and he truly lives. You can all do hard things and you can all learn so much every day. We have the greatest teacher ever and that is the Holy Ghost we just have to listen.

Love you all and keep smiling!!! Ahhhh and big Shout Out to my Bff Elder Smith aka Matthew Smith who is out in Dominican Republic on turning a big 20 years yesterday the 26 th welcome to the 20s buddyyyy!!!.

ReCap 39 week

 Wednesday for P-day weird
 Hello Family and friends!!!
Well I’m still alive and everything is going good or actually great and amazing. So ya I didn’t write Monday and also didn’t have P-day (preparation day) on Monday this week because we went to the temple today! That was an amazing experience and it was such a beautiful day all around. So ya I guess I have a lot to fill you guys in on because it has been over a week now since I last wrote. Here I go let’s see if I can remember everything haha.
Ok ok so let’s start off in last week. Last week was pretty crazy and filled with a lot of things that took us away from our area so that was a bummer. We had Zone Conference last Tuesday which like always is way awesome. The zone conferences always help us refocus and gives us new ideas to use in our areas and all that.
So, this Zone conference they really focused on the Book of Mormon which over the last couple months has been talked a lot throughout the church. That is because it truly is so important to our lives. It will keep us growing and going in the right direction. I promise you all that if you read it every day with a prayer you will receive blessing and answers that you are looking for.
Well from that conference my companion and I now have decided to carry The Book of Mormon in our hands everyday all day and it has truly become a part of us. It has blessed my life and it will bless yours to read it.
Well hmmm other things throughout the week is that Elder Bradley had another check up on his nose and all is still ok with that, so he got the ok to exercise woooo. That means we have started going pretty hard with that. We go running morning and night and it really has been fun and I think I’m starting to enjoy running hahaha. It was kind of tough at first because I haven’t full on ran in days like over 5 months so there was some rust but now it’s all good.
We also had to go to the offices this week for Elder Bradley because he completed a year here coming up this week.  He had to renew his green card, so he could be legal to live here again. Oh, ya the news about that is we got called today and everything went through, but we have to travel back to the offices tomorrow for him to sign some papers.
Also last week we had another Market contacting activity in the zone and that was awesome. There were also some pretty sweet things in the market so I after it was over I ended up buying some sweet fake Nike shirts hahaha for like 100 pesos for 2 of them so that made me happy.
Then to end the week off on Saturday and Sunday we had Stake conference here. It was awesome to be a part of and get to listen to all the talks here. The also talked a lot about the Book of Mormon surprise surprise and also how we truly do have our Savior with us every single day and every moment and that he loves us so.
Ahh ya then to End the week we were able to watch the face to face with Elder Oaks and Elder Ballard, that was probably one of the coolest things I have ever watched. It was amazing, and I invite all you to go watch it because it truly answered so many questions just about everything. It also shows that the Church leaders are regular Humans. Btw Elder Oaks is super funny, and I did not know that before.
Oh, and we had like 4 zones from the mission together in one church building with the young adults. So, I came up with the idea to see if we could watch it in English just to understand it close to 100 percent. So, it got oked and then about 14 other American missionaries and I went and squeezed into a tiny little room to watch it in English hahaha that was sweet.
Well I feel like this week will fly by because it is already Wednesday so ya I will talk to you guys in like 5 days. Oh, Thanks Giving is this week also haha. They don’t celebrate it here, but it will be celebrated in my heart. I love this gospel. I love the opportunity I have to serve people every day,
This mission has changed my life and I will forever be thankful to my Father in Heaven for this opportunity because it’s amazing. I’m also so thankful for all of you guys. You light my world with light each and every one of you. You are all so special to me and are all blessings from God. You all are his children also. You have a Father in Heaven and you are never alone.
I love you all and miss you all. I would love to see and be with you, but I have work to do here where our Father in Heaven needs me right now. If later on he needs me somewhere else I will go and do what he asks without a question. If that puts me back into your lives in person I will be there. I hope to be a missionary for life and forever and do the things of the Lord because it brings true happiness.
Have a happy holiday and may your week be blessed with happiness and light. Always be thankful for all that you have and be thankful for the life you have been given and the people you have.
Always smile life is just a blessing!

Week 38 ReCap

Back to work!!!!
What Is good my favorite people in the world!!!!
Life is great, and Mexico is just as amazing. What a week what a week but to be honest can’t really remember all of it so here it is!
Ok ok so this week we ended the time in the house finally. Haha it was all good being stuck up in there, but it is nowhere compared how it is out in the field talking and being with the people, talking about the gospel of Jesus Christ.
So, on Thursday we finished Elder Bradley’s week of recovery then it was off and running to try to catch up for the time we have missed. We were able to get a lot of time in looking for people who truly want to listen to this message of Happiness and the plan that our Father in Heaven has for us.
So, it was a good time back out in the Mexican freezing cold weather! Oh, ya to fill you all in on the weather here it is cold, colder then I thought it would get but I think we are so used to super-hot weather that we are weak now to like 70 degrees haha. So ya it was just great to get back out and work this week. We do have appointments to still go to for Elder Bradley, but we are almost all the way done.

Oh, ya also this week I was able to take part in a Zone activity that we did in a market to find new and more people to teach!
Ok so zone activity thing was wild. So, we did it on a Friday and in a big market, so it was tons of fun also. So, what we did was set up some tables and we made some signs that said Meet the Mormons but in Spanish of course. We started and just contacted everyone that walked by us and just talked to everyone we could about the church. It was so much fun, and an awesome experience and we found like 35 people in 2 hrs. with the whole zone working.

Oh, totally took pictures with Santa Clause at the market which made my day haha. Not really sure why he was out like 45 days before Christmas but it’s all good.

Well that’s all I remember from this week, but I will remember extra hard for next week. We should have an awesome week this week coming up though because it will finally be the first full week we have working. Also, we have Zone Conference tomorrow which is always amazing so looking forward to that.

I love you all and you guys all amazing. Keep pushing every day. Love life because every day is a blessing. Always always remember also that we truly need our Savior in our lives every day. Every day we can learn, every day we can grow.
Keep looking up because you all have a Father in Heaven who loves you and supports you. He truly is always there looking down on you all, Watching over you!

Week 37 ReCap

Week 37 ReCap

Week in the Crib aka week in the house
Hello everyone!!! So, another week down of life and you guys are all doing amazing I’m so proud of you all… keep going! Always look up because we all have our Father in Heaven above us.

Well so yep this week has been a different one from the past couple weeks and that is because I was in the hospital for 3 days and 2 nights and then in my house the rest of the week. The reason I was at the hospital is because Elder Bradly my new companion had surgery Tuesday. So, Tuesday we had to go to the hospital and get all checked in at about 3 and then he went into surgery at about 5.
During his surgery I was in the waiting room for like 2 hrs. just sitting there studying and reading, so that was super exciting. After the 2 hrs. I got to go into our room and then Elder Bradly got wheeled in about 25 mins after.
Everything went good with his surgery and he’s all better now. We did stay an extra day because he was in a lot of pain, so his doctor wanted him stay to get checked on by the real nurses. Thursday, we got checked out and we headed home to just relaxed. He needs to be inside resting for 7 days and today we are on day 5 so we are almost there.

I did have the opportunity to get outside and work though this week on some divisions. So, I had division Friday, Saturday morning then also on Sunday afternoon for a couple hours with my district leader, Elder Sandrigo from Argentina. He is a champion, a funny story about him and I is that we have been in the same zones my whole mission. He was one of the first missionaries I had meet, and we are still in the same area, so it was super fun to work with him. He was moved out to this zone the same time I did.
We had a lot of success together on Friday in his area, we went on divisions inside divisions which was crazy, I worked with the Mission leader of his ward. Ya but then I came and worked in my new area the other times. We were able to find 15 new people to teach here and get the work started in this area.

This area has been down lately in the work that has been done here. They haven’t had a baptism here for about 8 months now so I’m here to try and change that around. I had a good talk with Elder Bradley, and we are on the same page now. This upcoming week when we can get out and work we are going to give it everything we have.
So more about my new companion. He has about a year out in his mission. He is 19 years old and he is from Utah. We get along really well, it’s been different having another American companion. So now in my mission I have had 2 Latinos and 2 Americans. His Spanish is super good and mine is getting there so he should be able to help me out a lot.

Well that’s all my loved ones. This week stay positive through everything please and always remember you are so important.
Keep your standards high and never lower them for anything. you all deserve the world.
Love you all a ton.

Week 101............Onto the Final ONE....

Dear Family and Friends!!! What a great, amazing, happy day it is today! I say that because honestly everyday can be a happy day if ...
