Week 71.........New Month with a New President!

I love you all let’s just get that out of the way first ha. I also hope you guys are doing amazing and just having the time of your lives.

So, this week was another flash before the eyes just like the others have been so far this change. It was a really productive week though in a few ways.

1. We said farewell to President and Sister McArthur and Welcomed in a new president.

 2. We finally got out and worked with some members from Santiago which helped us out a ton in getting to know new people.

 3. Elder Kirkman and I have started getting up at 6 am to go on a run every other morning.

4. Elections happened here yesterday so we had to be in at 6pm.

Well more on our new President. His name is President Maucotel. He is from the states but I'm not 100 percent sure from where. We are also still waiting to hear from him because everything has been 100% the same since he has got here. I know though he will teach us a bunch and help us grow. I am beyond excited to learn from him and it will be a great experience over these next 7 months to get to know him.

Hmmm so that is pretty much everything I got today. I can’t believe June has past and July has arrived, but I know with the coming of a new month comes a bunch of new opportunities!

I end with this. I know the Church is true. I know Russel M. Nelson is a Prophet of God, I love him and thank him for his example. I know our Savior lives my friends and family. He truly truly gave everything for us and then came back again for us. It is BECAUSE of him we can do all thing we do and that we have the chance to live with our families forever. I ask that you just all remember him and give thanks for him.

I love you all. I know your Father in Heaven, OUR Father in Heaven has an amazing, loving, special plan for each and every one of us. PRAY he is there and I promise you with my whole heart He is always listening because we are his children.

Have an amazing week!

Love your friend Elder Davis!

Week 70.....It’s raining its pouring for the first time in forever!

How is life my lovely people that I love so much!!!!

Today I am happy and thankfully and that feeling was spread throughout everyday this last week. This week was just a little bit wild in the weather department here and that just makes me laugh. We had lots of rain one day and then the next I don't think I could keep water in my body because I was sweating so much haha. It was a great happy week though and I'm so happy to be here where I am!

Ok ok so I’m going to throw down the top 10 off the week because I feel it’s more exciting that way.

1. This last Thursday it just rained and rained and rained and then rained some more. It was the first really good rain we have had here in Monterrey the whole entire year so that was much needed. Oh, boyyy and the best and most funny part about it was that the streets legit became rivers because the drain system is a little off here. With the streets becoming rivers that meant that we got destroyed by passing cars a lot and all we could do was laugh and have a good time. We did have a very spiritual experience though while contacting in the rain. So long story short is that we were having no success at all at first and so I felt that we needed to pray. So, my Companion and I offered a prayer in the middle of a street while it was raining asking for help and guidance to someone who was willing to listen to us. After the prayer we felt good and started contacting. The first houses after the pray brought nothing but that is when I heard a prompting that our hard work would pay off soon if we just kept going. Then at the very last house of the street we found who we need to find. Her name is Veronica and as we contacted her the words she shared with us where the answer to our prayer. It was so amazing and just testifies to me how prayer works if we are humble and sincere it truly works.

2. The next day after it rained it was super-hot and everything was back to normal haha.

3. Alexa received the Holy Ghost yesterday and is doing great! She always has a smile on her face now when we see her and she tells us she feels so much happier!

4. One day this week we got a ride from some guy In a BMW for sure the nicest car I had ridden in my whole mission.

5. Yesterday we got a ride to our food appointment by a member in his Super nice Audi making that the nicest car I have ridden in In Mexico haha!

6. I ate Nachos today and they were great.

7. We had our zone activity today and it was tons of fun!!!

8. Elder Kirkman, Elder Brady, Elder Samaniego and I bought Mexican football jerseys!!!

9. Tomorrow we have our last Zone Conference with President McArthur

10. I felt all your guys love and support throughout my week which made my week amazing! Thank you.

Well that is just 10 of hundreds of things that happened this week. I know all those things have made me a better person and will continue to help me grow also. I love this opportunity and privilege I have to learn and grow.
This week I want to challenge you guys to be friends with everyone. Care about everyone also and remember they are your brother and sisters. Learn people’s names that you work with and might not know. Talk to them and help them. Serve others and love it as you do it. May the Lord watch over you all this week. Don't forget to read your Scriptures and pray because those are 2 keys for success.

I love you all. I know my Savior lives and gave all he had to make our lives better. Kia Kaha my lovely friends. (Kia Kaha means forever strong or stay strong one of the 2 btw).
You all make me smile never forget it!!!!

Love your Friend Elder Davis!

Week 69 Recap.......Hey Dad! Happy Fathers day!

First off.... HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO MY DAD!!!

Also, a big happy Father’s Day to all of the other Dads out there you guys are all doing work so keep it up! Thanks for all your examples also!

Ok ok here we go real quick. So, this week was a good one. We had lots of things go down outside of our area so that kinda meant we didn't get much time to work in Santiago. That was a bummer, but we still had a great time and we had a BAPTISM to end the week! WOOOOO!

So, this week like i already said was filled with other things we had to do. We had meetings with the Stake President of the stake we work in Tuesday and Wednesday and that took up pretty much the whole night of both those days. Also, with the situation we are in with no house in Santiago we weren't even able to really get out to Santiago. I'm pretty sure we only where able to go for like 1 hr on Wednesday. It’s OK though because the meetings went great and we got good input form the Bishops and Stake President and we all got on the same page. We are going to maybe have so more meetings coming up to finalize everything but its looking great!

Ok then on Friday we had "Return to MTC" and that was like a full day thing. The "Return to MTC" is something they have for the new missionaries and the missionaries that are training to just check in on how everything is going. It went really well also and i was super proud of Elder Samaniego because he works hard, and we were able to complete all the practices. We had a great time and it was a blast to see a bunch of friends who also came.

Now to the best part of the week! The baptism! It went amazing and I just am so happy thinking about it. It was such a blessing to us to get to know Alexa (the girl who was Baptized). She is awesome, and it was so cool to teach her and watch her grow. I think that is my favorite part of this experience teaching these amazing people, just to see them with such a desire to learn and change. They all touch my heart. They are all so special to me and i know without a doubt they are so special to Our Father in Heaven.

Well we ended on the best note i could think to end on for this last week. It was a week that we worked hard and had fun, so I feel great.

I love this opportunity i have to go out every day and represent my Savior. I know though it is not just me doing that. I hope you all remember always that every single one of you is a Representative of Jesus Christ. Make sure you are on the right path also so that you can be a worthy Representative. I know our Father in Heaven loves his children so much so that means he love every single one of you a ton, more then you know. I know my Savior lives also and I love him.

I love you all! Have a very very great week! Keep pushing and moving forward. I know you guys can do everything!

Love your friend Elder Davis!

Week 66.....The close of a chapter and the start of a new one!

Hiiii Friends and Fam!

I hope all has been well with all you and that you are all happy and smiling!
Well not much time this week again haha. That is because we got changes Yesterday!

Well first things first after 7 1/2 months of time in the area Los Elizondo my time has come to a surprise end. It really did kinda come out of nowhere and we weren't expecting it, but I will be going to a new area called Santiago in the Roma Zone! Oh, I will also have the opportunity and privilege to once again train a new missionary! I'm beyond excited for all the changes and know they are from my Father in Heaven. I'm also super ready to learn and ready to gain the experiences that will come.

The only things I'm worried about is, I'm not sure if I have a house in this area because we are going to be opening the area and then also where we will eat and where is it located haha. It will be a fun day tomorrow though!

Besides the changes we had a normal week that just flew bye. Ricardo did receive the Holy Ghost yesterday and the priesthood which made it a great last Sunday for me in the ward of Los Elizondo. Also, they called a new Bishopric ( 3 people that are called to lead the people in the area) in the ward so that was fun to see. I got to say good bye to some of my friends as well because we got the changes right as church was ending at about 2:45ish.

Well besides what happened on Sunday we just did normal missionary stuff. Today we did finish off the trio with a bang by going and climbing a little Mountain here in the area. It was a bunch a fun and it was a great last little activity we got to do to end my time here. (Picture to follow this week as my camera would not upload to the computer) …..

I hope you all have an amazing week.
Please, Please ,Please always remember you all are so important and play a huge part in the Plan of our Father In Heaven!

I love you all and I know he loves you all. I also pray you will all have exciting adventures and that new things come your way this week that you can all learn and grow.
Every day is a gift from our Father in Heaven for us to learn and grow. Take the opportunities you have always!
Love you all!!!

Week 65.......Every day is a new day

What is good my dear family and friends?!?

Keep smiling always……. you are all amazing!

So, I don't have that much time today so this one will be a quick one…. here it goes!

So, first thing first… this last Sunday like yesterday we had another baptism! It was another very special day for us and we are so blessed to have been able to be a part of another baptism! His name is Ricado, he is a young man of 42 years old who is an amazing example to me. He is someone who I was able to come in contact with about 5 weeks ago with my other companion who went home this change. So, it has been a very special experience for me with him, teaching him and seeing his life change. I will never forget how happy he was to truly take the step of baptism.

SO besides that, the week was pretty normal kinda. On Friday we got invited to go to this little wedding ceremony. I got asked by the Zone Leaders here to be a witness for a wedding of their Investigators. SO I got to be a witness Friday for a wedding which was a new and exciting experience. I was honored to do that and I'm super happy because now my signature will always be here in Mexico haha.

Then some other things that happened

1. We had divisions again this week on Wednesday that was fun!

2. We went to the coolest ward party ever in the history of ward parties. They legit had a little taco truck there for the food haha.

3. Went to visit the Family of Lizbeth. They are doing great!

4. I got a little sick Saturday morning from Mexican Chinese food. I threw it all up though and know I feel great!

5. We got an awesome reference of a part member family and they are progressing so great! We have a baptism date for the daughter of the family for the 3rd of June!

6. I got to play basketball today with some Elders for my companions bday. He turned 26 today.

That's all I have for you guys today! I can’t believe this is the last week of our change in a trio and I Know this will be a great last week.

Well next week I will know what will be happening with me for the next couple months!

I love you all. I'm also sorry that this email is kinda all over the place with the days of the week haha. I love you all though. I know God lives and so does our Savior Jesus Christ. They truly love you never ever forget that. You all are so important!!!

Hope you all have an amazing week!

Love your Friend Elder Davis!
